With the help of the IPSEC community and more than a hundred other organizations, the campaign to block Governor Cuomo’s $7.6 bailout of old, unsafe, inefficient nuclear power plants has quickly grown into a statewide movement.
Together, we’ve generated thousands and thousands of phone calls and emails, made our voices heard at the governor’s public appearances, and earned growing attention from the media and elected officials alike. Thank you!

Now, we invite you to join us next Thursday, October 27 during lunch hour at locations across New York to reject the $7.6 billion charge on our electric bills Governor Cuomo wants consumers to pay to fund his misguided nuclear bailout.

Together, we’ll tell Governor Cuomo:

“We the People of New York won’t pay $7.6 billion of our hard-earned money to bail out a wealthy Chicago-based corporation so it can continue operating decades-old, unsafe, unprofitable nuclear power plants that have no place in New York’s vibrant clean energy economy of the future.”

Together, we can and will block Governor Cuomo’s $7.6 billion nuclear bailout scheme and move to truly green, renewable alternatives like solar and wind. But it’s going to take all of us.

IPSEC will be hosting a press conference at 11:45am in White Plains, at the Fountain (intersection of Mamaroneck Ave and Main Street). In case of rain we will stand together instead at the WESPAC Foundation’s White Plains office (31 Mamaroneck Ave, Suite 403).
