Westchester County Board of Legislators hold “Environmental Round-Up”

District 12 Legislator Mary Jane Shimsky and colleagues from the County Board of Legislators will discuss critical environmental issues being addressed at the County level, including:

  • the Spectra Pipeline

  • plastic bag legislation

  • flood mitigation measures

  • water quality protection measures

  • high mileage vehicles and electric vehicle charging stations

  • coping with climate change

Refreshments will be served at 7 pm. The program is free and begins at 7:30 pm. Co-sponsored by the Lower Hudson Sierra Group. This  is an excellent opportunity to make contact with your County Legislators and ask them if they are supporting the NYC resolution to close Indian Point.
