It was a perfect day for Strawberry Fest. It was a big crowd with a lot of curious folks who wanted to know about Indian Point and had never heard of a Citizens Oversight Board. It is an easy sell.
Open or closed Indian Point needs supervision!
Not one person disagreed with that. 50 people signed the COB petition and 30 signed the Article 78 petition. 36 people wrote post cards to their NYS legislators. 4 people said they would like to get more involved.
All three of us were busy fron noon until 4 when people were leaving. It was a successful outreach day. Next week will be even bigger. See you at the Great Hudson Revival at Croton Point Park. Look for us in the Activist Section!
