I have heard Mark Jacobson present several times.  He is clear and easy to follow as he lays out solutions for the most troubling issues we face with climate change.  Don’t miss this webinar if you are looking for sound, scientific based answers as to how we move forward – no nuclear needed. This is part of the First Friday Series by the Samuel Lawrence Foundation which have been very well done. Mark your calendars now.

Two environmental leaders are set to discuss some of the biggest issues facing our planet 11:30 a.m.  PST (2:30 pm EST) March 3 on Zoom. The webinar is free and open to the public.

Stanford University Professor Mark Z. Jacobson will discuss his recently-published book, “No Miracles Needed: How Today’s Technology Can Save Our Climate and Clean Our Air.”

Joining Jacobson as the webinar’s moderator is Ken Cook, president and cofounder of Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.

A top authority on climate policy, Jacobson is a driving force behind the science informing the Green New Deal and related laws at all levels of government. At Stanford, Jacobson is a professor of civil and environmental engineering and directs the Atmosphere/Energy program.

Cook is widely recognized as one of the environmental community’s most prominent and influential critics of industrial agriculture, U.S. food and farm policy and the nation’s broken approach to protecting families and children from toxic substances.

“It is a great honor to welcome these outstanding leaders to our monthly program,” said Samuel Lawrence Foundation President Bart Ziegler, PhD.

The Samuel Lawrence Foundation is presenting the webinar as part of its First Friday series.
