This is something we all need to be thinking about as antinuclear activitist. We just won an important vistory, now it is 11th time to step back and look at the larger picture. Are you planning on going into the City on Sept 17 for this demonstration?
Thank you Diane for this well organized way to proceed.
To all activists and allies for a nuclear-free, fossil-free world,
We had a really good meeting last night, and we are kicking off plans for the Nuclear-Free, Carbon-Free Hub at the March to End Fossil Fuels. We have registered our hub with the march organizers, and soon should be listed on the march website.
You can get up to speed by checking out the meeting notes. If you have questions or suggestions, you can make a comment in the notes document, or just send me an email.
We will meet again next week — day and time TBA. Please fill out this doodle poll before Monday, Aug. 21, if you’d like to get involved.
At next week’s meeting, we will get to work pulling everything together:
- Outreach and mobilizing plans
- Messaging and communications
- Signs, banners, props, and other visuals
- Transportation and logistics
For anyone who is interested, there are biweekly meetings for planning the whole march. The next one of those meetings is Monday, Aug. 21 @ 3pm Eastern. Join that meeting with this zoom link.
OUTREACH: We will have NFCF Hub materials next week, but it would be great to start doing outreach and recruiting people right away. The march organizers have created a RECRUITMENT TOOLKIT and an OUTREACH EMAIL you can use and adapt for your community.
We will also be revving up organizing on the NFCF facebook group page. Updates, graphics, and resources will be posted there as we have them.
Let’s MARCH — for Nuclear-Free, Carbon-Free, environmentally just, safe, healthy, sustainable, vibrant, decolonized, democratic, liberated world,
