Can Indian Point Be Evacuated?

“Indian Point is impossible to evacuate.”  The James Lee Witt Report written by a former FEMA Director commissioned by The State of NY says  “Indian Point evacuation is unworkable.” Twenty million people live within fifty miles — the highest density population of any nuclear plant in the country. The NY Times reports the evacuation plan is a fantasy.

Over 20 million people live and work within 50 miles of Indian Point.
